HOSPITALITY CIRCLE
PEOPLES CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST
RUPERT B. CLARK SERVICE AWARD
Background
The Rupert B. Clark Service Award was created as a vehicle to recognize an individual in the church or community who has an established record of Christian service, particularly to Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ.
Such worthy accomplishments may be identified and modeled through the outstanding achievements of Rupert B. Clark for whom the award is named. Mr. Clark publicly identified himself as an individual committed to his church and his community. He exemplified an outstanding sense of commitment, selflessness, initiative, dependability and dedication.
Mr. Clark’s dedication to Christian service reflected a determination and strong resolve to provide help and assistance whenever needed without regard for recognition or remuneration. He was a role model who cared about people, and willingly invested his time and energy in them. It is, therefore, this mark of excellence by which the nominee will be measured.
The award is an honor of distinction and is symbolized by the presentation of a gift. The recipient of the Rupert B. Clark Service Award is selected and announced annually.
