WASHINGTON, D.C.– The Memorial Service celebrating the life and legacy of the late Rev. Dr. A. Knighton Stanley will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ (4704 13th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20011).
The Stanley family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary. Dr. Stanley served Peoples Church as the 8th Senior Minister for 38 years. The members of Peoples Church welcome the community to join in this service to honor and celebrate Dr. Stanley’s ministry and community leadership in the District of Columbia.
Repast immediately following service in the Fellowship Hall.
