The mission of Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ (Peoples Church) is to worship God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ; to labor for peace and justice so that the world may become the kingdom of God on earth; and to foster within its membership, by its teaching and its ministry, the spirit which was in Christ (Excerpt from Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ Constitution and Bylaws, Article II-Mission of the Church).

Peoples Church is a loving congregation with a heart of love for God’s people. We seek to experience the presence of God in worship and praise through the sermon, the music, the prayers, the liturgy and the sharing of the sacraments. We are dedicated to growing into an ever fuller relationship with the Lord through the study of Scriptures, community service and fellowship opportunities (Excerpt from Website Welcome Message).

Today’s technology is being used by churches to connect with people and to promote outreach and other church programs. Social networking tools are designed for easy mass communication and media sharing. Peoples Church believes that communication and outreach can be enhanced and expanded through an Internet presence via an interactive Website and a Social Networking Facebook Fan Page.

To guide the interactions of social media communications, a policy must be in place to maintain appropriate monitoring and management of these social networking media.
